When our child was (finally) diagnosed correctly with autism, we were devastated! Such a beautiful little boy. Would he ever talk? Ever have friends? What would be the life for him, us or his siblings?
And what do we do next?
Fortunately we found out ABA and VB offered hope, but Central Texas didn’t have effective or affordable services. What was offered was over rated, over priced and inconsistent. The school system only trickled out limited advice and techniques that were some 20+ years old and angled to develop NON VERBAL communication!
We insisted on the best for our child and worked hard to find it. Now our child speaks! Says “I love you, Mom” and so much more! He has friends, is in a typical classroom. Communicates with peers. He’s very smart.
Ms. Sample and her team are amazing. High energy. Focused. Excellent. What a great asset our community has with the Children’s Autism Center of Texas. Finally a multi-disciplinary center that offers the best services for special need children in ways in which parents can obtain and afford them.
Ms. Saldaña of the Children’s Autism Center has personally led the way with our child for almost five years now and that is why our child is functional and part of the typically developing world today! Applied Behavior Analysis, Verbal Behavior and out-of-the-box thinking has made exceptional gains and guaranteed him a positive place in the world before him.
